    Multiple Students Reported Stabbed At Franklin Regional High School



    MURRYSVILLE (KDKA) – Police and paramedics are on the scene of a stabbing at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville.

    Dan Stevens with Westmoreland Emergency Management says 20-students have been injured, four of those are serious.

    A school resource officer called in the stabbing at 7:13 a.m.

    Forbes Hospital says 7 victims have been taken to their hospital, 1 victim has been flown to Allegheny General Hospital, and 2 taken to UPMC-Presby.

    Forbes will have a press conference at 9 a.m.

    Police say the male suspect is in custody, and is reportedly a student at the school.

    Wow. Hard to imagine that one kid could do that much damage to that many kids. Sounds like everyone is going to pull through.

        Indeed. According to the stories I'm seeing, this guy was going up and down the hall, into and out of classrooms stabbing people. Sounds like a whole lot of time to put a barrel on him and make him stop.

          He apparently used large kitchen knives.

          I'd like to know more about this. This was literally unimaginable when I went to high school and back then most boys carried pocket knives (some fairly large) as did a fair number of girls. We were better armed and much, much less violent.
