I'm so ready to pull my eyes out of their sockets, rinse them off, scratch all the itching in the sockets and then replace them..grrrrrr.
I heard today on the local station that this is the worst tree pollen in 15 years. One spot of good news, it rained all day yesterday so that might start to help. Usually mine lasts until the heat comes.May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

My doctor doesn't believe in allergy shots although two of my friends get them and have relief. Something about cortisone not being good for women. I will ask him about the Patanol, Frostbit because I am seriously ready to just scream..I'm so frustrated!May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.

Initially I was on Allegra D (or some other variant, I know not long afterward it came out as effecting the heart or kidney or some such thing) as well as a nasal spray and an inhaler. Since I didn't have prescription coverage with my plan back then (ha! which is why I laugh so much at the demands for health coverage today!) it cost me over $100/month for the prescriptions. At the time, I took home about $1500/month from my salary and had student loans of $600/month...so the prescriptions were filled on an as needed basis. I've never been regular about them and find that zertec works really well and benadryl will work in a pinch. My sister's cat makes me have to claw my eyeballs out at her house, so I feel your pain. Luckily, only cats get me to that extent now. The mold, flora, etc. just make me super stuffy and sneezy and asthmatic...all of which I can handle. They eye thing is pure misery. I truly understand the "plank in your own eye" metaphor from allergies. Good luck. Not where I breathe, but where I love, I live...
