It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

I didn't realize until Emma got an elf how many of these elf photos are out there. Now, while I do find some are hysterical (love the one with Elf tape to a wall with blue tape..his mouth is taped, too..and there are army guys all lined up in front of him ), I have to make them child appropriate. Here's the one we did last night for her when the kids came over for dinner:

May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

LOL! It took me a minute to realize those were goldfish in the sink. Hilarious!

I used her pretzel goldfish and they're a bit dark. I had my husband go to the market and get some swedish fish because I thought they looked more like a fish than the goldfish.
