  • Gardening Ambitions This Spring?

I'm getting every thing cleaned up. Today I bought a lot of Tidal Wave petunias. I trialed this last year and was amazed! I'm not a big petunia fan. This type performed beyond belief. I bought about 4 colors and plan to try them in more situations.

I also picked up a new-to-me sweet potato vine that is supposed to be good in semi-shade. I saw an awesome Dogwood that I'd like to try, Garden Glow, but I need to think about it. I'm going to try a Castor Bean this year as an ornamental.

    What are you growing?

    Mold, mostly.
It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

That's super helpful Adam. Maybe next week you could bring us to speed on your refrigerator experiments.

I'm afraid to open it. It growls at me.

          Take your shotgun.
May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

A shotty seems like the ideal home refrigerator defense but think again - the range, the target, the level of aggressive force - he wants a flash-bang and a baseball bat.

Stun the Chow Mein first, then take out the thawed, poison pork chops with the bat. The rest is clean-up. You end up with a functional and secure fridge and no pesky questions from the appliance replacement guys.
