OSLO — A Norwegian hunter took aim at a moose, but missed and accidentally hit a man sitting on the toilet in a nearby cabin on Thursday, police said.

The bullet whizzed past the animal, pierced the wooden wall behind it and struck the man, in his seventies, in the stomach, the force told public broadcaster NRK.

The victim was flown by helicopter to hospital but his injury was not life-threatening, said the policeman who led the investigation, Anders Stroemsaether.

If it scard the shit out of the victim, at least he was in the right place.

Most Americans probably aren't aware of it but the Scandinavian countryside is littered with little cottages. We have nothing like it over here. One of the primary desires of every ethnic Scandi is to own a small country house and a lot of them realize that desire. Usually they aren't occupied this late in the year.

What's even cooler is that it's appropriate to use one of those cottages as long as it's empty. Crash for the night, clean up, and stock the woodpile for the next person.
