I can't begin to tell you how rare pre-war British Double rifles are in the 500NE, 577NE, and 600NE calibers. They rarely pop up and when they do they are way expensive.

This one got found at my freakin' gunsmith's shop. Someone came in asking him to consign it for them and wam!! gone before I even got to see it. I would have plopped cold hard cash down for this one. Gorgeous and crying out to go with me for Elephant.

Far less than true value I believe because the person that bought it was called in to appraise it. I suspect he got a good deal. It's probably worth $35,000.
