Unreal!! Joyce entered a Facebook contest with Global Hunting Resources for a two day guided Pronghorn Hunt in Eastern Colorado, October 8-9 that will be televised on one of the hunting shows. You had to write a 50 word diddy on why hunting = conservation. She won!! Just got off the phone with Aaron Neilson, the show host, and since he knew I'd head down there with her anyway he said if I can draw a permit I can hunt the ranch as well once the show is filmed.

He did warn us that in Colorado you have to wear blaze orange so Joyce found this online….

What great news! Can you say what the show is or publish her essay, or is all of that embargoed until after the show airs?

Fifty words is way shorter than you realize until you try and express a thought.

"I’ve experienced a successful Lion hunt in Zambia with my husband Jim. The area was completely poached out 3 years prior. Our hunting dollars directly established the camp and the anti-poaching patrols that brought game back for the benefit of the Kaindu Community. Hunting = Conservation."

The show is Trijicon's World of Sports Afield.

It's hosted by Aaron Neilson. He will guide the hunt and Joyce will hunt along with Megan Johnson…

There's no guarantee the hunt will end up televised but Joyce is a Hottie and can drop game where they stand out to 300 yards. Add the back story of the cancer and a blaze orange wig and I'd say she's irresistible.

AFAIK, I don't get the Sportsman Channel, but honestly I didn't even know it existed. Joyce will have a compelling story for a TV show: "I didn't just survive cancer, I kicked its ass, and now I'm back out here doing what I love."

Even if it never airs, though, it sounds like a great experience.




And, the Megan girl is a serious babe. That insane compound bow! WOW!

I thought you might get off on the shooting the 454 Casull in the LBD opener in the video. I just showed Joyce the video and she simply said, "She's pretty" and went back to Words With Friends. I thought for sure she'd say, "Oh good I get to shop for a LBD to go with the Blaze Orange wig".
