    Crossfit community's shirt for Joyce

    These guys are awesome. Check out the shirt

    CrossFit Alaska community!!

    It's time to come together and show support for one of our members!
    As many of you know by now, Joyce Wojciehowski has been diagnosed with Large B-cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She will soon be starting her first targeted radiation treatment and Chemo WOD.
    To show our support we have designed these "Wojciehowski team captain jerseys" in her favorite color. All proceeds will go towards throwing Joyce an end of chemo or like party.
    We are currently taking pre-orders. The shirts are Men's and Women's cut. They are the same brand and make shirt as our current "boxing bear" shirt for size reference.
    Prices will be somewhat subject to the size of the order but count on about $25.

    That's pretty cool they put that together for her.
    May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
    Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
    And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
    may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

      Going viral in the fitness community up here. Pretty amazing how many people have decided she's their idol. Funny when I remember the first time she did wall balls she knocked her own glasses off. It's her tenacious good natured drive that wins everyone's respect. She's one tough woman.

        Sounds like she's made quite an impact on a lot of people's lives. Not everyone can say that.

          Once we had the diagnosis it was put on her Facebook page. I don't have much use for social media but in this case it did make getting the word out very easy. It went viral and she started hearing from Nursing school mates from 39 years ago. Even a game scout we met in Zambia sent his well wishes.

          Our many years of working short assignments in the lower 48 means we have a lot of friends there who have all come out of the woodwork as well.

          Nice stuff!!

                The 3-2-1-Go is a mandatory start to all Crossfit WOD's worldwide. They shortened Joyce's name to Jo ad put it at the end on the shirt.

                  Looks like Joyce's shirt is now famous. This is from Box Pro Magazine. Jacob happened to be wearing his Joyce shirt when they took the picture.

                  Clay Hamilton is the co-owner and founder of a one of the first 300 CrossFit gyms to have opened. To put that into perspective, there are now over 10,000 Boxes worldwide. And perhaps one of the most interesting facts about Hamilton’s gym is it’s located in Anchorage, Alaska.
