  • Happy Birthday Joyce

Joyce's Birthday is November 19th. She hasn't been the most active person on Facebook but since we outted the cancer diagnosis there the page has gotten a regular following. It's great to have friends from all over, every walk of life, and even an occasional cyber friend drop in.

This is a picture put up for her from a good friend we knew from Dillingham when we lived in the bush. He was an avid photographer from before digital days and his two specialties were Auroras and underwater shots of spawning salmon. Here's his Birthday wish for Joyce.

    If it pays, it stays

Hey Scott!! You ought to pop up one of your Saturn pics with a B-day wish on it.

Tell Joyce I said, "Happy Birthday!". (I don't do Facebook.)

        Done.

            That's awesome!

            Happy Birthday, Joyce!
May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

                Indeed!
It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

Thanks guys and thanks Scott for the cool compilation card. I'm headed to work and she's sleeping in. Yesterday was a bit exhausting with the pet scan and Oncology Radiologist meeting (1 1/2 hours long) that made my eyes glaze over. I'll show her this thread later tonight. I doubt she realizes how well you guys know her.

                  Cheers
                  Jim

Happy birthday, Joyce! Have some barbecue!

                        Dave,

That is freakin' crazy. Not that you "shopped" that photo but I'm afraid to ask where you got it. It's from 2010 and the board lost everything in the last melt down. I presume photo bucket, since I left everything public on there. Hell, we have nothing to hide.

                        Cheers

Still had it in my ImageShack account, Jim. I 'shopped it not long after you posted it.
