Got some good shots of the Atlas V rocket over our lake tonight.

The pics are great.
You are in the Tampa area and the pics have no orientation and have to assume that the launch is away from inland Florida but they look as if the launch is east to west, which is 100% contrary to all I've seen.
Some years back, I was on the Ft Lauderdale city pier with my Florida Branch Manager after supper, just talking on a nice night... and to our North we see a launch... it starts on a SE trajectory, archs east, and after about 2 minutes, it explodes.... no sound... just poof.. big brilliant spot...
I scoured the news and never saw any mention of an aborted launch.
Always wondered why it wasn't reported.
On a lighter note, on the same pier, the LFN got mad because I could piss of the end of the pier and I had to hold her arms while she squatted over the edge and let it go.

West to East.
I read your last line at first as, "let go."
