Wow! That was a good plot twist. Ironside is a TV show on NBC.
He was accidentally shot by his partner

Scott, had you never heard of Ironside before this "new" show, or was it the twist of the cause of the paralysis that made it interesting to you?
I honestly ask because I grew up with my mother watching the show, so I knew of the original show, although I can't recall ever watching it. Funny how Hollywood can pretty much only manage to recycle these days.

I never heard of the original, and was only half paying attention to the new version when the scene about him getting shot by his partner piqued my interest.
