Wow! That was a good plot twist. Ironside is a TV show on NBC.
He was accidentally shot by his partner

"Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

Scott, had you never heard of Ironside before this "new" show, or was it the twist of the cause of the paralysis that made it interesting to you?
I honestly ask because I grew up with my mother watching the show, so I knew of the original show, although I can't recall ever watching it. Funny how Hollywood can pretty much only manage to recycle these days.

I never heard of the original, and was only half paying attention to the new version when the scene about him getting shot by his partner piqued my interest.
