  • Police: Thieves stole from home while owner was dead inside

Pressley Davis Jr., 20, has been charged with burglary, larceny after breaking and entering, larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a firearm by a felon and six counts of larceny of a firearm. He was in the Mecklenburg jail late Tuesday with bail set at $445,000.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say Davis targeted the home on Jennie Linn Drive because the roll-out garbage can hadn’t been brought in from the curb and the mailbox was stuffed with mail.

“The victim died of natural causes before Mr. Davis chose to prey upon his residence,” police said.
    How rude.

Resist the temptation. Do you really need another TV?

Haven't you ever worked in an office environment where someone died?

I thought she meant that one day someone would be removing the boots from her rigor legs.

Oh my, yes - the blood-thirsty maneuvering for office space and parking perks usually begins when the FMLA paperwork is filed. Early bird gets the worm, dontcha know.

Well, glowing footwear - that's kind of a different thing, isn't it? Who wouldn't steal glowing heels from a critically ill stripper? Let's be honest here.

If her feet didn't smell like rotting cabbage, yeah. I DID, however, get a kickass blue dress with her consent.

I've had the last couple of days off. I better get back.

I thought JB was asking if I worked in a place where one of the employees died on the job. A while back, the woman who worked across from me died in a car accident. I didn't see anybody take her stuff. Actually, it's a pretty good place to work for. I've often left things where it could be stolen and nobody touched it.
