    I love curling

    What an absolutely brilliant game! No wonder it's been around for something like 600 years. What a fantastic combination of strength, finesse, and strategery. It's like bowling meets billiards (not pool) meets chess. ETA: and baseball; you have to choose the order of your stone-throwers carefully, just like a batting line-up.

    I really wish NBC didn't relegate this to only online live viewing and re-broadcast at 3 AM.

    There's a Curling Club with a dedicated "lane" or whatever it's called here. Might have to check it out sometime. They had the news guys go down for a try and man did they look terrible at it.

      I watched it all afternoon yesterday on NBC Sports.

            I had one of those last fall. It was quite an adjustment having a schedule set for me and a manager. UGH. I'm just way better at this when I'm running my own show.

                Seriously, competitive bicycle riding?

                I like the luge competition cause it's one person on tiny fucking sled rocketing down an icy half tunnel with the opportunity of instant death...

                  I do love luge and I have a perverse desire to bobsled some day, just because it's insanely fucking fast.
