    Random thought of the morning:

    Watching these guys careening down a curvy half-pipe at speeds north of 80 MPH, face-first, on what is basically a Flexible Flyer, I suddenly realize that sledding down what was left of the old Ziegler House driveway knowing that the bridge was out at the bottom doesn't seem nearly so dangerous as my mother thought it was when I was eight years old.
    It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
    In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
    Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
    Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

    How does a "sport" come into being which requires such elaborate fabrication?
    The year's at the spring
