There's some kind of technopunk music being played during the athletes walk that is as annoying as all get out. In fact, almost as annoying as Matt Lauer's prattering.

The athlete commentators all seem to say that they enjoy it. Those that have to compete the following day sometimes skip it, but generally it's that one moment in the games that they really can realize they are officially an "Olympic athlete" and apparently it's a lot of fun and kumbaya stuff.Not where I breathe, but where I love, I live...

Then you would like these opening ceremonies...they had Russian people in puffy white outfits standing on the floor doing the whiteman shuffle during the entry of the athletes. It was like watching a bunch of high school sophomores at their spring dance...they kinda know they should dance, but they don't really know how, so they just kept shuffling their feet and kind of moving their arms in time to it.Originally posted by Gingersnap View Post
