Never seen it. It just pisses me off like 9/11 footage only I am not simultaneously nauseous.
Colonel Vogel : What does the diary tell you that it doesn't tell us?

Professor Henry Jones : It tells me, that goose-stepping morons like yourself should try *reading* books instead of *burning* them!

Why would you watch a factually inaccurate movie that also starred Ben Affleck?

Kind of sounds like you knew what you were getting into but you did it anyway.

I've watched it a couple of times. It's not completely inaccurate. And it pisses me off as well.

It's an interesting movie to me, as those in their 30's and younger not only don't know that story, they don't even know about the hostages.

I was pissed off about the Iranians taking our diplomats hostage (I assumed that was true ... Ginger may disagree).

And you are right on the second bit. It would be interesting to discuss with you the under 30 crowd and 9/11 some time. It is an odd thing.

It is odd. Hard for me to believe that kids in their teens barely know the details about it.

I couldn't believe, however, that I had to tell the 30 somethings about the Iranian hostage crisis.

Much of next year's freshman class will not have existed in a pre-9/11 world.

Very, very few, if any, of this year's graduating class (to include my eldest nephew) really understands the difference between what life was like before and after that Tuesday morning.

I suddenly understand what it must have been like for my parents when I was about six years old and asked them why some guy named Hitler was such a bad man.
It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

Every twenty something thirty is right there I am close with knows someone kids player together who went to war.

I think we are in for a surprise in about fifteen to twenty years when that big fat second baby boom hits the political scene. The president after Hillary will be the last gasp of the Boomers. And the world we know in our dotage will be wholly different.

You don't fuck over a generation that big inso many ways without consequences.
