Never seen it. It just pisses me off like 9/11 footage only I am not simultaneously nauseous.

Watching Argo
Colonel Vogel : What does the diary tell you that it doesn't tell us?
Professor Henry Jones : It tells me, that goose-stepping morons like yourself should try *reading* books instead of *burning* them!Tags: None

I've watched it a couple of times. It's not completely inaccurate. And it pisses me off as well.
It's an interesting movie to me, as those in their 30's and younger not only don't know that story, they don't even know about the hostages. Not where I breathe, but where I love, I live...

And you are right on the second bit. It would be interesting to discuss with you the under 30 crowd and 9/11 some time. It is an odd thing.Colonel Vogel : What does the diary tell you that it doesn't tell us?

I couldn't believe, however, that I had to tell the 30 somethings about the Iranian hostage crisis. Not where I breathe, but where I love, I live...

Very, very few, if any, of this year's graduating class (to include my eldest nephew) really understands the difference between what life was like before and after that Tuesday morning.
I suddenly understand what it must have been like for my parents when I was about six years old and asked them why some guy named Hitler was such a bad man. It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

I think we are in for a surprise in about fifteen to twenty years when that big fat second baby boom hits the political scene. The president after Hillary will be the last gasp of the Boomers. And the world we know in our dotage will be wholly different.
You don't fuck over a generation that big inso many ways without consequences.Colonel Vogel : What does the diary tell you that it doesn't tell us?
