I don't know if this an art but whatever.
I knit. I knit a lot of socks, shawls, scarves, sweaters, etc. I am done with the Christmas knitting! I have two socks on the needles but they are for me and the heels are turned and everything so no biggie.
Knitting is very Big now, very trendy thanks to the useful You Tube tutorials and Ravelry. I learned to knit in the second grade and knitting has accompanied me through ups and downs, schools, boyfriends, jobs, deaths, diets, fashion fads, and much, much more.
I am making the leap to high-level lace knitting next year. By "high-level", I mean large projects in lace-weight wools. Every knitter eventually does 'everyday' type lace stitches. Eventually (if I don't collapse from the stress of it), I mean to make a wedding ring shawl.

Why? Well, why not? I expect it will take years which is fine.
Does anybody knit? Do other yarn, wool, weaverish sorts of things?
