I am SO not telling HRH.
"Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)

Is she small enough to fit in our luggage. I could say she's our caretaker because we are old.

She weighs 97 pounds most days. Small, but not luggage-sized, I fear. And caretakers probably still have to cough up the cost.

I'm not actually sure even a chance to hang with penguins would get her to be away from her dogs for more than a week, but it would be a tough choice. She does love penguins. Petting the penguins was the highlight of a school trip to SeaWorld for her. She also loved feeding dolphins, but we did that a lot. The behind-the-scenes tour of the penguin habitat was a special treat.

About nine months out. Started booking flights. Good thing we know Adam. Holy crap, this was not straight forward. Lucked out getting mileage first class from ANC to DFW on Alaska. Then American from DFW to EZE (Buenos Aires) Then a ground transfer from EZE to AEP (different airports in Buenos Aires) because the flight to Ushuaia on Aerolineas Argentinas only leaves from AEP in Buenos Aires. Geez Louise, that was a pain but we are booked.

This is excellent for you adventure history buffs. Contains actual footage from the Shackleton voyage. We will be tracing part of his route backwards including the whaling station that eventually spelled rescue for them.

OK, a fellow from Alaska vacations in Antartica.

Maybe he's related to an uncle of mine who lives in Maine and winters in Massachusetts. I don't understand him either, but he did once go birding in Antartica.

Understand geography much? Oh that's right, you're a music teacher.

We are leaving the Alaskan winter in January/February for the Antarctic summer.

The Falklands, South Georgia Islands, and Antartica average mid 50's to mid 60's the time of year we are going.
