    The year's at the spring
    And day's at the morn;
    Morning's at seven;
    The hill-side's dew-pearled;
    The lark's on the wing;
    The snail's on the thorn:
    God's in his heaven—
    All's right with the world!

    I fail to see how an admitted Socialist describing what is and is not a good example of "conservative" is relevant other than to show just how far to the left he is.

    Canadian healthcare is popular because for most people it's their only choice and it's all they know. The same goes for Medicare here.

      It's Canada. Who the fuck cares what they do? They've got a population of like 40 million people. That's California. When they get all growed up, then maybe they can start comparing what they have to what we have, if their fucking thought police allow it, that is.

        So we can only consider the experiments of countries with 310M people?

          The point of the video is to watch the lady from Canada spank the Honorable Jackass from Podunk.

          BTW- the Republican mouthpiece that said that Sanders practically lives in Canada is a real gem too. I'm sure the people of Vermont found that amusing. Almost as amusing as an Arizonan would at being told they live "practically in Mexico".

            With your endless rant about "illegals" I would think you consider Arizona as part of Mexico.

              Oh is that what it was? Well all that did was show that she's very good at selling her side of the story. She compared healthcare rationing and long wait lists to misallocation of resources at the security checkpoints. That tells me she's fine with their system because apparently she's as incompetent as the low-level shift managers at the security checkpoints.

              She didn't make me want to have a system like that, for sure.

                Have you ever been to El Paso or Nogales?

                  Sadly, we can't but that would make the most sense. Scale is the biggest driver here. Of course, success and happiness with a system is although worth looking at and for that we'd have to go to Singapore, not Canada.

                    Sure, but Singapore doesn't let just anyone in the country. You can't be poor. You can't be uneducated. You can't be without a job. And neither can your "help". Your help must have at least a high school degree and be free from any medical conditions...and pregnancy is considered a medical condition.

                    Singapore is a great place to live...if you have money. Need some welfare? Then show your tax returns showing that you've been working and paying your taxes. There is no free ride. And no chewing gum.
                    Not where I breathe, but where I love, I live...

                      Which probably explains why they can make their medical system work.

                        Exactly. Their educational system as well. I understand it's great. And there's no trash in the streets. Benevolent dictatorships have their advantages. Freedom has its disadvantages.

                          No graffiti-painted cars, either.
                          It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
                          In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
                          Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers

                            El Paso , yes. Nogales, no. I was deathly ill in El Paso in 1986. I had gotten a sandwich at Jack In The Box in Mesa on the way to El Paso. By the time I got to El Paso, I thought I was going to die. I pulled into a motel, and they had no first floor rooms. I paid some kid who was there for BMX races to reluctantly carry my stuff up to the room (I was in a Suzuki Samurai and didn't expect anything to be left of it in the morning). The room was hotter than hell, and I felt like Alien was inside my stomach. I tried to barf, but nothing. I remembered that I had a pint of vodka in my bag. I poured four fingers of vodka into the plastic bathroom cup and drank that 100 degree vodka in one swig. The AC had yet to cool the room, so I laid on the floor with the door open, and do you know that not one person stopped to see if I was OK? A few minutes later, I closed the door and passed out on the bed. I awoke the next morning feeling wonderful and restored. I drove to the border, parked in a "secure" lot, and took a cab into Juarez. Total waste of time.

                            PS- I adore Fort Stockton Texas and Tucscon AZ. I am considering moving to Bullhead City AZ
