Show me a single instance on this board where in an ongoing "discussion" with a poster that you said anything that equates to "Thanks, I now see your point" and I'll continue. Otherwise, in honor of your quote thread I'll leave you with this.

Hey, I have no problem with being stupid. All you have to do is show why I'm stupid. Should be easy, right?

Not with your level of expertise in the trait.

I’ll play a little while longer. Societal “advancement” gave us things like mass produced cigarettes, the ability to advertise them, and the resultant negative heath effects.

Some lower 48 native cultures used tobacco. Do you think the Anglo advancement of mass production and advertising of tobacco use benefited society?

BTW, my challenge for you to show how a poster on NEIP ever helped you change your opinion on a topic stands. I’ll wait.

Lol. We got tobacco from the indians. And really, what does it matter? Like Celeste stated, when these civilizations get the chance to use advanced technology, they do. They are actually telling us thru their actions which civilization they think is better.

As for my opinion, I rarely change it. Neither do you or anyone else here for that matter. So maybe look in a mirror.

So I can stop waiting for one example from you of an instance where you learned something on here that changed an assumption or opinion you had?

On the other hand, I know I changed Gary, PG, and Celeste’s opinion of the benefits of “sport” hunting in places like Africa.

I have changed my stance on abortion. A couple of times as a matter of fact.

And we (the West) gave the Indians smallpox and the Chinese, communism. I think we "won" that one.

Don Lemon roasted over royal expert's answer on Britain paying reparations: 'He was not ready for this' | Fox News

                            Video at the link

                            don-lemon.png?ve=1&tl=1.png

"Some people want to be paid back and members of the public are wondering, ‘Why are we suffering when you are, you have all this vast wealth?’ Those are legitimate concerns," Lemon stated.

Fordwich agreed that the desire for reparations is alive and well, though those who want it can look to African slavers.

"Well I think you’re right about reparations in terms of – if people want it though, what they need to do is, you always need to go back to the beginning of the supply chain. Where was the beginning of the supply chain?" she asked.

"That was in Africa," she continued. "Across the entire world, when slavery was taking place, which was the first nation in the world that abolished slavery?" It was "the British," Fordwich declared, adding, "In Great Britain they abolished slavery. 2,000 naval men died on the high seas trying to stop slavery. Why? Because the African kings were rounding up their own people. They had them [in] cages, waiting in the beaches."

She concluded, "I think you’re totally right. If reparations need to be paid, we need to go right back to the beginning of that supply chain and say, ‘Who was rounding up their own people and having them handcuffed in cages. Absolutely, that’s where they should start."

After her answer, Lemon provided no pushback. He simply nodded, mentioned it’s "an interesting discussion" and moved to the next segment. As Twitter users pointed out, his silence was remarkable considering the anchor is one of the media’s most partisan personalities.
                            It's worth a click.
