    More media tricks…

After thinking things over, the Denver Post decided to delete the fact that Arapahoe School shooter Kark Pierson was a committed socialist from their news report.

It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

Yeah, that autistic guy who shot up Newtown a year ago was a Democrat. We know this because........

Okay, let's talk about Eric and Dylan. We know they were leftists because........

This isn't a political issue. The guy shot out because he's an asshole.

Be careful referring to that Lefty lunatic as autistic. The autism folks don't care for that.

              As yours.

I don't think most of them would shoot up a school though.

Loughner is paranoid schizophrenic who fairly vibrated with all the classic signs of an immanent psychotic breakdown in the weeks before his crime. He had a lot of political views, both right and left, but he was fixated on the person of Giffords. He was not autistic. Fixating on one person as the ultimate source of evil (or whatever) is a very classic marker in that form of schizophrenia.

Klebold and Harris were attention-seeking thrill killers. They were too busy discussing the emotional satisfaction of killing hundreds (if possible) to think much on politics.

Pierson was a high achieving student who was a very competitive speech/debate contender. His crime was specific to his perceived failure on the team. He didn't spend much time thinking it through.

None of these crimes were politically motivated in any real sense (Loughner probably would have focused on some other public figure if Giffords hadn't been available).

The problem is that the media would not treat Peirson's political views as unimportant if he had been a member of the NRA or made comments about about his dissatisfaction with Democrat policies.

I have to admit if he had been part of the NRA, they would have made a big deal. It would have been used to excuse the concept of more gun control. I don't know about being a Republican in general.
