Organizing for Action would like you to host a "Newtown Anniversary Event."

Seriously. They're actually calling it that. It's not a "memorial" or "an observance;" it's an "anniversary event." It sounds like they're holding a sale at a discount appliance store.

    [....]

Bizarre, stupid thrashing about in an attempt to deflect from Obamafail and hindenburg.gov.

I guess it's all they've got left at this point.
It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

Looks more like generic political activism to me. In this case, using the Sandy Hook event (atrocity? massacre?) to innervate gun control advocates.

Looks like their usual desire to capitalize on a tragedy. Nothing new there.
May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

You should probably ignore Amber Alerts.

You're not getting any better at your game. Pick up your water and carry on.

And here I rejected the Candy Lightner quip.

I didn't realize Amber Alerts were a call to support a presidential program and to lobby your congressman. Maybe things are different in Texas. Here they are used to try to find a missing/abducted child.

I am sure it is the same. Amber Alerts exist and have always existed. Sort of like laws against drunk driving.

Remembrance..another good theme to focus on instead of their Presidents Anniversary Event.

I think the reason that they didn't use the words remembrance, memorial, or observance is because it's not really about the victims, it's about their political agenda and their need to take the public's focus off of their current disaster aka obamacare.

The dart they threw for December landed on the Newtown tragedy and the eighth graders ran with it.

I'm sure you meant "Amber alerts from one year ago". Then your quip would be relative to the OP.
Science that cannot be questioned is propaganda.

                      Cameras in classrooms now.

I wasn't responding to the OP.

The word "remember" is right there.

                            Wasn't the Hindenburg a tragedy?

Sure. Now, who's capitalizing on it?
