  • LOL! Mike Rowe, once again, nails it.

Yesterday was San Francisco’s annual 12K footrace through town - the ever-popular, “Bay to Breakers.”

According to the official website, Bay to Breakers has been “a quintessential San Francisco experience for 102 years, interwoven into the fabric of the city, and a true celebration of life between the breakers and the Bay.”

Yeah. Welcome the the celebration, kid.
The look on the kid's face is just priceless.
It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

Well, if the weather had been typical, there would've been almost nothing to see. Even young, unwrinkled equipment tends to shrivel up and hide in SF's usual temperatures. This year they just happen to have hit an unseasonable spate of hot weather, which was unfortunate in so many ways.

OTOH, fear not...it's probably assault with a dead weapon.
"Since the historic ruling, the Lovings have become icons for equality. Mildred released a statement on the 40th anniversary of the ruling in 2007: 'I am proud that Richard’s and my name is on a court case that can help reinforce the love, the commitment, the fairness, and the family that so many people, Black or white, young or old, gay or straight, seek in life. I support the freedom to marry for all. That’s what Loving, and loving, are all about.'." - Mildred Loving (Loving v. Virginia)
