  • Surprise! Another Obama scandal in the works.

So, back in September of 2012, there was a curiously-timed sudden drop in the unemployment rate. This raised a lot of eyebrows because the numbers didn't add up. Basically, there weren't enough people added to the non-farm payrolls to account for the supposed drop in joblessness. This caused people who dared to question these numbers to be immediately labeled "jobs truthers" and "conspiracists."

Well, it turns out that the so-called conspiracists were right: the Obama administration DID manipulate the jobs numbers, and now one of the people at the Census Bureau who participated in the manipulation is fessing up, complete with documents showing the manipulation and claims that this manipulation was ordered by superiors.

Act surprised about what? That the Post appears to be conflating a story about laziness in 2010 with a specific month (September) in 2012?

    Not really a surprise.

Is the "knowledgeable source" the same guy as the "reliable source"? It doesn't seem like it.
      Enjoy.

I don't see them conflating anything. They are pointing out that despite Census knowing about this ongoing method of manipulation in 2010, it was still happening in 2012, and being escalated in approach to the 2012 election.

But then I understand the desperate need to throw your integrity over the grenade to protect the lord and savior.

              Where's the laziness?

Labor requires Census to achieve a 90 percent success rate on its interviews — meaning it needed to reach 9 out of 10 households targeted and report back on their jobs status.

Census currently has six regions from which surveys are conducted. The New York and Philadelphia regions, I’m told, had been coming up short of the 90 percent.

Philadelphia filled the gap with fake interviews.

“It was a phone conversation — I forget the exact words — but it was, ‘Go ahead and fabricate it’ to make it what it was,” Buckmon told me.

Obama could eat live kittens on Meet the Press and his supporters would praise him for doing something about the surplus unwanted pet population.

LOL! That's exactly correct. If someone from a Republican administration had done this, it would be a wall-to-wall story about corruption, betrayal, and sin. Since the Obama Administration is involved, it will be a "misunderstanding".

                      Let's ask the experts.

                      Billy, Norm, what say you?

I can't speak for Norm but as far as I am concerned, I wouldn't get too worked up about unsourced speculation on the part of partisan hack rag.

                          YMMV.

You forgot to ask Jon Stewart.
May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

Well, I guess we'd better wait for the unbiased, impartial journalists at MSNBC to report on it.

Hmmm. Nothing there. Must be a non-issue.
