  • Shakedown Jesse is a little slow on the uptake

I guess he didn't like getting upstaged by GLAAD.

"We are requesting a sit down meeting with the CEO of Cracker Barrel and A&E in the next 72 hours to discuss our position," a statement said.

As of press time, neither Cracker Barrel or A&E had yet bothered telling Jackson to go fuck a meat grinder.
It's been ten years since that lonely day I left you
In the morning rain, smoking gun in hand
Ten lonely years but how my heart, it still remembers
Pray for me, momma, I'm a gypsy now

Robertson also discussed homosexual sex, using graphic descriptions that outraged many, including the group GLAAD, who demanded that A&E take action to silence the star.
    Oh brother.
May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.

On another note, I went to the GLAAD website to see if I could find the exact statement on this issue, as I was pretty certain they probably didn't use the word "silence". They have an article on which celebrities "came out" in 2013.

Imagine my surprise when I saw this:

Brian Boitano? Really? Was there anyone in the world, even Papua New Guinea, that didn't know Brian was gay?

      Definitely cutting edge investigative reporting!

I don't really care who's gay, who's not, in Hollywood. It's not like I'm planning to marry anyone from there. But I thought it was funny. And other than Brian and Jody Foster, I didn't know who any of the other celebrities were, so that was a waste of 5 minutes of my life.

          Speaking of "What the hell?"

Bruce Jenner has had surgery to become Agnes Moorehead.

Did you ever find out what their statement was? Somehow I can't see them freaking out over a graphic description of gay sex. I mean, aren't we all about discussing gay sex in schools now?

Is this the "fisting" thing Nova was talking about?

"Phil and his family claim to be Christian, but Phil's lies about an entire community fly in the face of what true Christians believe," said GLAAD spokesperson Wilson Cruz. "He clearly knows nothing about gay people or the majority of Louisianans – and Americans - who support legal recognition for loving and committed gay and lesbian couples. Phil's decision to push vile and extreme stereotypes is a stain on A&E and his sponsors who now need to reexamine their ties to someone with such public disdain for LGBT people and families."
                      Here it is.

I'm not certain what "lies" Phil told. Nor am I certain what the "vile and extreme stereotypes" were that he pushed.

He gave his opinion, as a conservative Christian, that practicing homosexuals would not enter the Kingdom of God. I have no idea as to the truth of that statement, nor does anyone else, walking this Earth, know.

I think this is the bit they are upset about:
"It seems like to me, a vagina -- as a man -- would be more desirable than a man's anus. That's just me."

And as a lesbian too, I suppose.

I'm not really certain why that is offensive. I'm not upset that a man finds a woman's body attractive. I'm not upset that a gay man finds a man's body attractive. What is so upsetting about the fact that Phil finds a female's body part more attractive than a man's body part?

I think the whole thing has taken on a life of its own and is little more than a tribal marker, now. It is just a Chik-Fil-A.

Crude..but so offensive to the ears of GLAAD that they went to A&E with their demands? I think that outrage from them was just needed to make it sound better. I think the not-going-to-heaven part was the deal breaker. People don't like to hear that. Now, do people hear that? All. The. Time. Just how many times does the left throw out the camel/needle/heaven scripture? Even those who don't believe use it. Of course, they never seem to go a verse or two after that. Anyway, this outrage is somehow different because the subject was homosexuality.
