  • About me

I was born in Detroit back when that was something to be proud of and have lived almost all of my life in Michigan, except for a time in the 80's when I lived in Phoenix which I don't talk about because there may still be warrants out.
Have been married to the same extremely patient woman for 27 years which she claims have been at least 3 of the best years of her life.

We are involved in animal rescue and have 8 dogs and some unknown and variable number of cats. Also 3 mice that I found in the tractor before their eyes were open and are now about 5 months old.

I am more libertarian than anything else, prefering the concept of live and let live as long as you keep your hands out of my wallet. This means I typically despise politicians of any type or party at the national level.

I have a restored 68 Cougar and an unrestored (at the moment, well the last 6 years actually) 1980 Harley FXS Low Rider that I have had since about 1984. I call it my retirement project. DW calls it old crap cluttering up the garage.

Firm believer in the 2nd Amendment, CCW and SYG. Firmer believer that semi-auto pistols should have an external safety for reasons which I will decline to discuss at this time, but Frosty will probably be more than happy to detail for your (and his) amusement.

Other than that, I have enjoyed this forum for a few years and hope to continue to do so.
    We are so fucked.

I was born in Oklahoma City a long time ago and spent all my youth in rural Oklahoma and Arkansas. After that, I was in the 101st Airborne Division on Ft Campbell, KY. After that, I moved to the Metroplex (DFW) and have lived here ever since with a short time in Houston which is without a doubt the biggest popsicle of awful ever conceived by Man.

I would say I have restored a 1920's Craftsman but since it is an old house, it is never finished. I have unrestored a 1967 Sunbeam Alpine and hope to have it restored by next summer. The aforementioned house has taken up all the restoration time or it would have been sooner. I will not discuss the renegade shed. It has a dormer. God, how I hate that dormer.

I have a couple of dogs. They do not like cats. Lucy would murder them so that's out.

Just so there is no confusion, I am the artist formerly known as Bok.

I was born in Michigan, too long ago to want to mention. I lived in Ohio for a short period of time before moving to Pennsylvania and spending most of my life within about 30 miles of my childhood home. I now spend a good portion of my off time on the Chesapeake. I have no pets, as I've yet to be able to keep a plant alive for more than 30 days, so I figure mammals, rodents, and birds are out.

I have an affinity for Ann Coulter. Some think I'm the devil. I will neither confirm nor deny those rumors.

He did not complain in any way about the bad reputation he enjoyed all over the world, assured me that he himself was the person the most interested in the destruction of superstition, and admitted to me that he had only been afraid for his own power one time, and that was the day when he had heard a preacher, more subtle than his colleagues, shout out from the pulpit:

"My dear brothers, never forget, when you hear the progress of enlightenment vaunted, that the devil's best trick is to persuade you that he doesn't exist!"

I was born on Mars but my folks moved to Wyoming early on. It's pretty similar.

I enjoy rainy Sunday mornings, long walks on the beach, and men with ........ Wait! That's my centerfold profile.

I'm a Libertarian, an avid gardener, pro-RKBA, anti-politically correct, and I have deep suspicions about Katy Perry and Project Monarch (also deep suspicions about some members of this board).

I'm looking forward to meeting old friends and new friends and getting back to the top of several 'Most Annoying Person On The Internet' lists.

Born in Toronto, Canada, and raised in Nova Scotia. My family is Estonian, and know well the downside of Communism, and Socialism. I was never permitted to forget the horrors of living in a Socialist state: 2 uncles, 1 cousin, 2 second cousins sacrificed to the State.

Did 7 years in the Army in Canada as a weapons technician, then a civilian job where I learned that tanks and robots both use computers to run motors for motion control.

Been in the US since 1999, doing robotics and factory automation for the auto industry, pretty much worldwide.
I specialized in paint application, and I've commissioned robotic painting equipment not only for the Big 3 in Detroit, but Mercedes, Peugeot, Citroen, John Deere, Caterpillar, BMW; all over North America, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. Now I work directly for one of the big 3, writing database systems and processes for World Class Manufacturing.

The biggest thing I learned traveling is that American Exceptional-ism is a fact; there is no other place on earth like the US.

And half of you (the collective you of Americans in general, i.e. Democrats) are intent on fucking it up beyond all repair.

I'm not a US citizen, so all I can do is watch....

                  And weep.

Was wondering how the citizenship thingy was coming along. Where are you living these days?

Working in Toledo, living just across the state line in MI.

I'm starting to think I'd get less hassle from ICE if I got a tan and learned Spanish...

I suggest we move this thread to a non-public forum.

Sorry, PG has the witch premonition powers not you. I think the odds are fairly good I will not be placing my finger in the trigger guard of any loaded weapons pointed at my own body parts. I also do not rest long arms barrel down on my foot, which I have seen others do believe it or not. I never have a round chambered in any weapon unless I am entering potentially hostile territory be that rural or urban.

                            Odds are with me Foxy!!

I could look at your av all day long. We have a lot of foxes out here and I was thrilled to see a baby one a few years back.
May we raise children who love the unloved things - the dandelion, the worm, the spiderlings.
Children who sense the rose needs the thorn and run into rainswept days the same way they turn towards the sun...
And when they're grown and someone has to speak for those who have no voice,
may they draw upon that wilder bond, those days of tending tender things and be the one.
